By

Clogged pores

It is very important to clear up any clogged pores on the face. This helps to prevent the contents of the pores from becoming infected, or the production of comedones and blackheads. A clogged pore may contain, dust, cosmetics, dead cells, makeup, oil and other debris. These increase its visibility making the facial pore look bigger and the face unsightly.

Our skin is kept moisturized by oil (sebum), perspiration and applied cosmetics. These form a layer on the skin which should be breathable. The skin is continuously rejuvenating by producing new cells. The cells combine with the dirt and oil on the skin and may enter a pore. If the face is not effectively cleaned, it may clog the pores. Clogged pores are one of the most frequent reasons for acne flare ups.

Causes of Clogged Pores

Skin must be kept as clean and moisturized as possible.

Dehydrated skin, dirt on the face, allergies, improper diet, inadequate water consumption, excess oil production, heavy cosmetic use and hereditary all lead to clogged pores.

When the face is not properly cleaned and hydrated the clogged pores could get infected and lead to acne.

How to treat clogged pores

Cleansing the face

This is the first and most important step in treating clogged pores. The skin must be cleansed often but it is not necessary to over scrub.

Wash the face at least twice a day especially if you use make up. Use a gentle soap, cleanser or face wash to eliminate dirt and cosmetic left overs.

Most soaps have are alkaline with a high pH, this could change the pH of the skin and reduce its ability to fight off bacteria. Low pH cleansers are advisable as they achieve deep pore cleansing.

Exfoliation and use of Masks

Our skin will usually renew itself over a period of a month although this slows down with age. Exfoliation removes dead cells allowing the new cells to emerge.

Some exfoliators have hard granules that help push up debris; others gain entrance into the pores and declog them.

Gentle pressure and adequate rinsing are all that are necessary when using exfoliators, do not scrub too hard. Masks can be used to frequently as the nutrients there seep deep into the skin and for a longer lasting difference.

Toning

Toners help to get rid of excess oil from the face although cleansers and water are also effective. Toners are necessary for those who have oily faces. Chose toners with alcohol and witch hazel as there tighten the pores and are very soothing.

Hydration, Moisturizer and Sun Protection

Wear a high SP factor as damage by the sun can damage the skin. The skin performs its functions better when the skin is moist; moisturizing keeps the skin pliable, and elastic. Day long moisturizing can be achieved by misting frequently.

One way to achieve all this is to use CLEAR SKIN MAX.

Treating clogged face pores fast reduces the risk of infections and acne.
