Follow these instructions to fishtail braid your own hair
Step One - Divide your hair into two roughly equal sections, holding each apart with your fingers.
Step Two - To begin the fishtail braid, hold the section of the hair on the right with your right hand and vice versa.
With your left hand, take a small chunk of hair (about 1/8 inch thick) from the outside of the left section and bring it over to the right section.
You should take it from the portions beneath the section so that it fully wraps around.
Step Three - Repeat Step Two for the right portion. What makes the Fishtail braid different from the normal braids will only be obvious when you pick small chunks each time.
Step Four - Continue picking up the stands of hair as described in the steps above until you get to the end of the hair.
Step Five - Secure the edges with a colorful elastic band.
