Facial Pores
Although there are many tips on how to make pores smaller, you should recognize the cause and how to treat clogged pores. Face pores are unattractive, the dead cells and debris they contain are a breeding ground for bacteria and fungi. Infected pores lead to inflammation and acne.
Enlarged pores can be caused by dried oily skin that in which dead skin cells have caused the pores to harden and in the process get stretched. Removing blackheads and dead cells around the edge of the pores makes them seem larger.

Follow the steps here to achieve smaller pores.
Step One: Cleaning the face
This is the first and most important step in making pores smaller. You have to keep the skin clean but please don’t overdo it. Try and wash your face at least two times a day especially if you use make up. A gentle soap, face wash or cleanser is best to get rid of excess skin oil and debris that can block and enlarge pores. It is advisable that you use a product with antioxidants like retinol or vitamin C.
Step Two :Exfoliation
Exfoliation removes dead cells from the facial pores. Exfoliants take action by using some hard granules that help push up debris; others contain products like salysylic acid that gain entrance into the pores and dislodge the contents, clearing up clogged pores. If you have sensitive skin, it is better to use the granular kind of exfoliator.
Step Three: Toning the facial skin
Toners get rid of surplus oil from the face although you can use water and soap to achieve the same result. The excess oil gets into the pores and may block it. The only cause to use toners is if the face is still oily after washing. Avoid harsh toners as they can cause acne flare up. Toners, especially those with alcohol however help close the pores and tauten the tissues surrounding it reducing the visibility and making the skin pores appear smaller.
Step Four: Moisturizer and Sun Protection
Use sunscreen because the sun can damage and enlarge pores. When you moisturize your skin it becomes very soft, resillent and more elastic. However if you have oily skin do not moisturize the T-area as it has enough natural lubrication.
Step Five: Facial Scrub and Mask
You can use scrubs to stimulate the skin, remove debris and help production of collagen, which reduces the visibility of the pores. Use clay based ones facial masks to help in tightening the pores. Excess scrubbing enlarges the pores so be careful.
There are various home remedies to make pores smaller. You can use ice on the face, use almond oil as a moisturizer.
The essential thing to know to make pores smaller is to avoid harsh cosmetic products, clean up clogged pores and avoid excess sun exposure.
